  • music and style of this girl seems a bit off =/

  • woah. goth existed before this so called 'emo and scene' culture did. if there are any similarities it's because THEY picked it up from the goth community. BUT it's also really easy to tell between someone who actually puts work into their outfits and look (a typical goth) compared to someone who bought it at Hot Topic, or Claires .

  • @Cammie1999 lol

  • @Cammie1999 Exactly! It's only real if it doesn't require effort. As soon as you start -trying-, you've contradicted the whole thing you're trying to achieve.

I enjoy SF a fair bit myself, although I'm generally more into oldschool fantasy settings myself. It's really all just an IMO thing, of course. I like the steampunk look myself, tbh. It's sweet you're into it because of an active interest though, and do it for enjoyment. Not many could (or would) do that, if only because they're scared to.

  • @mahpieislicked Ooh, I see! In that case, you've got a point, the music is rather dire. ._.

  • @Cammie1999 i meant the music....

  • I can't be sure if I should point out the question everyone might be wondering which is, The fuck is with your hair? It looks good but it's not my style. I prefer to tease my hair in a specific way.

  • Whoever called them emo/scene are morons and clearly don't know what the hell they are talking about! :D

  • @AntiNubDevice You've got a point there, anyone who actively tries to be alternative isn't really succeeding, As soon as you try to non-conform, you start conforming. Those who actively try to rebel are following a stereotype themselves XD ¬¬

I personally like Cyber because I have an obsession with dystopian and science fiction literature, but I dress normally on a daily basis, and only cyber ocassionally ^^

For me it's about the literature, not just looking weird :)

  • @Cammie1999 Example: Juggaloes and Juggahoes. These people are JOKES. Seen some videos about them standing up for how Juggalo is "a way of life" and how they're proud of it. They don't see themselves from the other side, and realize how dumb they're being. Nice dreams and ambitions, bros. Where you gonna be when you turn 40 and still paint your face? That shit will get you a career and real life for sure. Tell me about dreams and ambitions when you've had real ones.

  • @Cammie1999 He sounds right. Being out of high school for 11 years now, I -still- can't stop myself from chuckling at how absurd the goths and emos were. Sit and talk about how they're so unique, and so apart from the trends, they never realized they were just another trend. Socker says it right. Putting on an outfit doesn't make you different, rebelling doesn't make you different. What's inside does. Learn who you are before giving yourself an image. Especially when it's a bad one.

  • @foxxyakakyra There's a book about the difference in the emo/cyber/industrial subcultures? List a name, please. Tell people to read a book about something that's defined purely by opinion. Smart, bro. Maybe you should do some reading.
