Palestinians in poverty despite aid - 17 Dec 07

International donors will be asked on Monday to pledge billions of dollars in financial aid to the Palestinian Authority.

Since 1994, nearly $10bn in international aid has been pledged to the PA but more than half the population still living in poverty.

Al Jazeera's Ayman Mohyeldin looks at where the money has gone.

Hamas was elected only because is less corrupt than Fatah. Israeli occupation have a heavy blame, sharing cities, destructing infra-structure, and some palestinian politicians are allies of that underdevelopment. Keeping Abbas in power without elections, with israeli help, is just more one way to remain this cycle.

Palestinians are just like the Indians in the US. They love talking of past injustice-and when you look at the leadership of these communities-its the same story. They take millions give it to their friends and family-appoint their cronies and blame the white man/jew for why the majority of their people live in poverty.

Yes, Wake Up! citizens in west bank and gaza are being majorly ripped off by their own leadership. stop blaming everything on the israelis. blame the corrupt palestinian officals and the jihadists! the wall also restricts jihadists from killing isreali civilians!
