interpretation : bird here is used as metaphor for soul (spirit), It says bird in its journey saw a beautiful branch and fall in love and decided to stay there and develop a deep attachment to branch .bird thanks his luck that he found this branch and decides to live in branch forever.....(contd) .

bird got so obsessed with the branch that he thinks no where in whole sky it can find better place than this branch.the bird looses its intrest in flying and its wings are of no use. Late in song it is said that bird catcher catches bird .Bird described here is similar like our soul in its journey to life . One develops so close connections and attachment to self body and materialized world that he forget that our ultimate journey dont end in this life but far beyond this. ......(contd) .

we only want to stay here and dont want to leave a mortal body . The bird catcher (ultimate god) then ultimatly take our soul from body and bird (soul) after death gains wealth of wisdom and realizes that sky (our life in body) is just mere a small part in jouney of our soul .long and never ending is flight and we should keep on flying.
