Then again, graphics are secondary to gameplay. I would be fine with console hardware, if not the industry's destructive lust for technical graphics. Art-style contributes far more to the graphical appeal of a game, in my opinion.

But the industry wants technical graphics, and so other elements of the game suffer.

  • @notlekrut

But the vast majority of console games are not 1080p. Google "1080p ps3 games".

And I disagree with your statement about U3. I find the graphics quite average, for a linear game. Some of the background textures are just horrendous. For an example on PC, look at Metro 2033. Google image "dx11veryhightessellatio.jpg".

Framerates. I'd say, a high framerate is vital for fast paced and competitive games. The difference can be easily seen: google "30 fps 60 fps comparison".

  • @1Usernamehere1 What i'm saying is that if there were no consoles, we would only have pc games but with much better quality, Bigger games with better graphics, better AI, physics and all that.

  • @1Usernamehere1 Actuallly runs at 1080p on the PS3. Only the wii runs at 720p. And i'll say once again, look at Uncharted 3, if you think console graphics aren't good. And not every game runs at 30 fps,That depends on how heavy the engine is. Either way, 30 fps is all you need to play, smoothly. But i agree with one thing. The next-gen games that are coming could have arrived sooner because developers release games for the biggest crowd. But every people have they're opinion and i respect yours.

Well, I wouldn't like to argue about this. Console hardware is 6 years old, so there is no way it can produce good graphics these days. Console games run in 720p resolution, are capped at 30 FPS, have no AA. That's laughable. The illusion of graphical advancement on consoles comes from cutting corners. The contrast between character and background asset detail is stunning. Old tech even affects gameplay: skyrim had to get rid of several armor slots for some extra blingies.

  • @1Usernamehere1 Are you sure? The PS3 processing capabilities have been amazing but the only problem is the development that takes time. Developers say it's hard to develop game for ps3. Why do you think Multi-plataform games have bad graphics on ps3 when comparing to xbox? But you got Uncharted 3. No other game in console has that graphics, no other. And if you want a game with what you said, you have Red Dead Redemption, that looks beautiful no matter what console you choose.

  • OF FREAKIN COURSE YOU HAVE TO USE SHADER EFFECTS NOW I CANT PLAY THIS U TURDS

  • @SuperCyberSock

Wait. Are you agreeing with me?

  • @xXlilgraham2Xx

Can't believe how fucking raging people are over one factually correct statement
