Western Boeing 720-062-"Arrival Sea-Tac"-1972

One of only THREE JT3C turbojet powered 720s to wear Western's livery; these were aquired during the buy-out of Pacific Northern in 1967.

Western sold these "Straight pipe" 720s to Alaska in 1974. All three are now scrapped.

The scene of the passenger door being opened; this looks like a 737 to me. Think the door is too small for a 720...

Watch for a NW 747 too. :-)

I remember going to Sea Tac just to watch all the planes takeoff and land. You can't do any of that anymore. What a shame! Everything is so messed up anymore. Those days I really do miss.

Wow, brings back lots of fond memories. I took a Western Airlines B-720 from Sea-tac to Minneapolis on 1972 Christmas. Sea-tac Airport was quite 'primitive' back then.

@TGADxerPatroni I remember as a spotter back in the 90s when there were smoking lounges in the satellites before the indoor smoking ban craze caught on. Also, I remember when Concourse A looked more like a bus station than an airport.
