The Jungle Book Movie 1942 Part 1 of 11

Jungle Book, aka Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book, is an American color 1942 action/adventure film based on the Rudyard Kipling novel, The Jungle Book.

Teenager Mowgli, who was raised by wolves, appears in a village in India and is adopted by Messua. Mowgli learns human language and some human ways quickly, though keeping jungle ideas.

Influential Merchant Buldeo is bigoted against 'beasts' including Mowgli; not so Buldeo's pretty daughter, whom Mowgli takes on a jungle tour where they find a treasure, setting the evil of human greed in motion.

Nominated for 4 Academy Awards, including Best Art Direction-Interior Decoration, Color for the director's brother, Vincent Korda and creative partner Julia Heron.

I love this old movie. My sister used to read the non disney jungle book to me after school when I was little. Bagheera was always my favorite character, so I named my cat after him.

@srasar You are probably right. I'm think referring more to the mind set instilled from generations ago. I don't believe everyone from Australia is a racist. I have personally had some bad experiences with people from the country. Also Mel Gibson and a few other actors from the region have showed a bad attitude.
