Wasn't this broadcast on CBS? Does anyone know why CBS bought the rights to this instead of NBC doing it?

I so wish they would release this on DVD, they should of put it on season 7 of the G.G. there was going to be a 2nd Season of Golden Palace but the network canceled 6 shows that season that they didn't renew.It didn't due as well as Golden Girls But it was doing pretty good,a 2nd season even to wrap up the show would of been a great idea.
