A visit to the historic naval yard at Portsmouth UK where the HMS Victory, the HMS Warrior, and Henry VIII's Mary Rose are maintained. The Mary Rose sunk hundreds of years ago and was found and raised, with the remains of the ship maintained in a museum that is environmentally controlled to help the delicate timber last. Shot in HD in March 2009.
In 1952/58 I worked in Naval Stores Office in Portsmouth Dockyard, from the window by my desk I looked straight out at the front of H.M.S. VICTORY. In 1805 in Battle of Trafalgar Nelson died. After years being afloat in the Harbour, Victory was in dry dock for aging repairs. Death Watch Beetle had attacked her hull. Nothing could be done, she could never be made seaworthy again. Finally she was set in concrete in her current dock, Notably still Commissioned with crew serving onboard.

On my first visit to the Docks about two years ago, I saw some sailers names on one of the flags of the HMS Victory. One of them I knew had the same surname that I had. I think he maybe a relative of mine, but I don't really know the answer to tell you the truth.
