Ever wonder how long it would take you to walk through a full length GO transit train. Well I found out! And recorded it for everyone to see. all the way from cab car 212 through 10 bombardier bi level cars to locomotive 536. lets see who can name all the car numbers in between. This was the last train from Aldershot to Toronto for 2008! happy new years!

  • why were you laughing soo much LOL!!!

  • I was actually racing (walking with) someone behind me all the way, they were trying to pass me and I kept kicking them in back of me and pushing them back while recording this.

  • Great Video mate, I like the look of the Go train you guys have in Toronto. How many cars to a train I kind off lost count when you were walking through. Looks very nice and Modern and I guess it must thousands of Passengers each day. In a City your size you need a good big transit system in order to get people where they need to go.. Thanks again these kind of videos I like watching.

  • no problem Im glad you enjoyed the usual consist is 10 cars but now as off 2010 some trains are 12.

  • The interior of the coaches is very similar to the European version (Bombardier Double-deck Coach), even if they look very different from the outside. I wonder what is the reason for such big differences in the design of the exterior.

  • @Parkwaymania Well now, that's so neat! I respect you for that! I bet the one in 80', was the worse. The night where Alice Cooper was scheduled to be performing at the CNE, but then they cancelled it, and the audience started rioting there from the anger of the cancellation! I bet they trashed the "Government Of Ontario" (GO) trains! Do you remember if they trashed it that night?

  • @cnrail16 Yep. We still had the original single decker cars then as well. It was always fun cleaning one of these after a rock concert or football game...ugh!!

  • @Parkwaymania Really?

  • @Cajetoso23 Well our ridership rate is quite high in Toronto. Especially on the Lakeshore line.

  • In this railcar consist, railcar number 2425 is rumored to be the oldest railcar in service as of 2012. Is that true "Buddahboo"?

  • @Buddahboo wooow, dmn thats alot, here in san Diego the Coaster only carries 4 cars

  • Brings back memories. I had a summer job cleaning these babies at the Willowbrook Yards (next to Mimico) in 1978. Except for the TV's they haven't changed a bit.

  • There's TV on the train?
