  • No matter what you do, if you dont get someone who knows how to run a video camera, you're screwed from the git go. If you're going to share this marvelous machine via YouTube please give a thought to better production so we can actually SEE something.

  • didn't you hear it? The engine sounded just like a guy shouting "WOAAAA!! THERE IS GOES!"

it is a very strange engine

  • WOW!! That was awesome! We got to see some stuff, and then a car in the dark!!

  • nsivedencazzo

  • you don't use transistors you use gas thyratrons or ignitrons, a hydrogen ignitron would make a really big bang

  • naw man. a video where you can actually see something?? what kind of crazy criteria is that..

always run in the dark and always cut off the video just before the climax is revealed. that's my motto :)

  • Only if you can figure out a way to step down from about 30 kilovolts to 300 V...transistor wont take that at all. Plus the explosions would be much more dramatic with the caps.

  • haha im naked!!! Y

  • WHAAAAAR--THEEEEERRRRREEEAAATTTTTTGOESSSSSSSSSSSssssssss...

  • From what I was told of caps is that they hold big voltage but low current. I wanted to make a drag go kart from caps. But the techs I work with said that they wouldn't work.

  • Actually, the power converter would probably negate the usefulness of the capacitor's power density because it would become the limiting factor in the circuit. :/

  • Possibly, but any capacitor that will hold enough energy would be even more expensive than the A123 cells. Plus, (since capacitors have a linear discarge curve) you'd need a monster of a power converter to run it.
