I remember watching TV when one of the stations (I think it was 10) broke in with news of the crash. They had a helicopter over the scene and I was baffled by the lack of debris. Dreadful thing.

I was in the area at the time of the crash and I got a severe fear of flying for a long long time after that. I didn't fly for 4 more years, then the year I finally overcame it, 9/11 happened, and I was back to square 1. Haven't flown since.

I think channel 7 was mentioned in a Dexter novel as being the blood and guts station.

i still wonder what kind of person she would have become if she wasn't on that plane.

Also talk about being in the wrong place at the right time, the fox show cops was in Miami when the plane crash happened. they had some interesting shots in the swamp there
