This is the third re-painting of the intersection of 9th Ave SE and Adams St in Olympia, Washington. The original design was inspired by the cosmos that presented themselves in a 14 pointed configuration above the earth on the Fall Equinox 2003. The mandala was the inspiration of astrologer, Bradley Naragon. This intersection links the public library, the post office, a credit union, a B&B (Fertile Ground) and an activist library (Media Island) and has been dubbed "Fertile Island." The paint made as needed from cement, lime and water. The City of Olympia approved this intersection in 2003 based on the popular and celebrated work of City Repair of Portland, Oregon. City Repair has created dozens of intersection for human interaction in Portland.
