It is entirely to your credit that your journey to Malawi touched you so deeply - something of the Universal Soul in you. So too is Passover - a story deep within the Jewish historical tradition but also universal in its message for humanity: that in each life there is a moment when the Burning Bush (in whatever form) calls to us free ourselves from slavery (of addiction, fear etc); to be prepared to leave the security of the familiar and cross our own wilderness to find our Promised Land.
