Does the line that runs from the canister to the valve cover thin out the oil a bit, couldnt you just run the line strait to the carb lines? or did the factory have a reason behind that....
I have the canister in place on my 74 but no anti-run-on valve. I am getting a smell of gas fumes and I am wondering if this is the reason. The base of my canister has an outlet pipe but no hose running toward the ground as shown in this video.
Now I know what the charcoal is used for! Thanks for explaining,

This is a great clip...my canister seems to have been removed. I'll have to check again. Maybe that's why I have a gassy smell in the cockpit.
