A short note to say: When Chris http://www.youtube.com/user/hotfirecaster
sends me a music
file, I like to go with first impulse upon listening, and
usually that frame of music at first listen is what I
build on, ideas coming quickly. Sometimes recent
events affect my thought processes, cause they "land
on you, and stick" Chris had mentioned a family
member coming back from war service a changed
man; within my own family there are veterans, each
one having their own personal account of war and
it's effect on their lives.....I also had recently watched
a PBS special about civilian Doctors enlisted in
wartime, serving as medics on front lines. This
viewing opened my eyes to the great number of
enlisted personel coming away from service with this
sort of injury, and worse. It is a huge personal
sacrifice. If war could be fought with games of chess
and arm wrestling, no one would be happier than I--
the same one who mourns road kill. Bless and
remember and help and listen to, those so wounded,
where ever in the world they be, sometimes they are
innocents, who happened to be in the way of war--we
are of the same family, in the end. We should always
question why, it is the beginning of change and
solutions. Thankyou so much for listening, I
appreciate your kindness, so much:-) Be SURE and
see Chris's channel today, we upload from two points
in the world, and he has written some of his thoughts
there, as well. Sincerely, LaurieLeeC
Here are some Lyrics:
Let's Question Why

he sits by the chain link fence
parked in that wheelchair
watching the kids as they throw
that ball through the air
it was a bright light
and all he
re-members of that day, that day

mayday that mans down
mayday
he's hit the ground
load him on the litter
say a prayer and let's get outa here,
Let's get the hell outa here

the doctor had to deliver the news
son you've lost two limbs
I was able to save two for you to use
sun filters down and alights
on his soft brown hair
a mothers son born not that long ago

He was perfect in every way,
and all he ever want to do was
throw that ball, and play

life is changed forever in the wink of an eye
we and she and he and they are tryin'hard
not to cry is the sacrifice worth the cause?
time to lay down the weapon down and instead
make a call, a call to love, instead
of a call to hate tell the world, it's not too late
to be a part of a grand design
in which we might embrace instead of maim
and kill OH you know the drill, you know the drill
why have'nt we learned it yet, not learned it still? yeah

each generation makes a sacrifice
sometime's too great, sometime's not nice
and many of us left not understanding
maybe someday we'll know the answer
until then what to do as you sigh
you watch that man there in his chair
try to overlook the tear that fell from
his eye.......what to do, what to do

left right, left right
yours is not to question why
but to do and die
I think we should question why......

let's question why , let's question why...........
