Theodore Robert Bundy, born Theodore Robert Cowell, known as Ted Bundy, was an American serial killer who was convicted for the killings of numerous young women between 1974 and 1978. He twice escaped from prison before his final apprehension in February 1978. After more than a decade of vigorous denials, he eventually confessed to over 30 murders, although the actual total of victims remains unknown. Estimates range from 29 to over 100, the general estimate being 35. Typically, Bundy would bludgeon his victims, then strangle them to death. He also engaged in rape and necrophilia.

Frankly, I think killing Bundy was setting him free.

Think about it.....which would you rather do.....spend the rest of your days in the general population of a prison as a known, confessed serial killer OR spend your limited time segregated on death row knowing your confinement will soon end. Torture at the hands of other inmates OR a brief stint alone and then quietly, comfortably put to sleep.

I don't know about y'all, but I'd prefer to be executed. Life in prison is harsher.

@ciaochowbella -- I'm pretty sure being electrocuted isn't being put to sleep, but I get the idea you have. I'd rather execution be cheap, quick, and not costing taxpayers more money.

diecheney: Why do you try to politicize a serial killer like Ted Bundy? Are you trying to say the entire republican party are serial killers, or murderers? Perhaps you should step back and examine your perspective. Somethings are absolute, Ted Bundy was evil. That is an absolute, politics is never absolute in anything.
