Plus druggies shouldn't have the right to defend themselves, they should have the right to bear arms taken away from them.
*sarcasm sarcasm sarcasm*
But that does seem like the mindset of A LOT of people of today, scary. How much freedom needs to be taken away before we stop saying "we are the freest nation on earth"
Oh and it is sad people would blame marijuana for this instance, and not the war on drugs.
...given the chaotic and frightning situation she was put in.
Im also quite sick of reading "white trash this and white trash that"
Now the pregnant daughter should have been treated like a human being(i think that would be a nice start) and I hope that ever cop that got their kids from pushing her around, choking and of course the lack of privacy while this obviously not dangerous pregnant 17 year old girl got dressed.
Judgeing by the comments left on that news page. I believe that yes the family were indeed dealing pot(which in my opinion should be legal). That aside I believe a lot of what happened here was bored small town cops with a bit of a vendetta against the family took things ways too far and obviously had personal issues with the family prior to the raid. Now weather or not she heard them say police they should have answered her when questioned. I also think that I would have shot too.
When this kind of thing happens, it just makes me sick. I honestly cannot understand these God-complex-ridden officers, or why we train them for positions of exploitative power. I don't get it.
Here's an excellent article titled: "Are Cops Constitutional?"
w w w.constitution.o r g/lrev/roots/cops.h t m
that discusses the evolution of the "modern" police state. It's interesting to see the striking difference between the "police" of the late 18th and early 19th centuries and the police of the 21st century.
All that, and the fucking cop thinks the presence marijuana (assuming it was even there before the pigs arrived) justifies what he and his gangster pals did. Pathetic.
Though now facing an extended cage stay, I'm surprised the young lady got out of the situation alive.
Here is a tip. Don't become a news achorman.

But you don't need marijuana...
Remember freedom is about want's not needs

The police should have answered. I thought law enforcement was supposed to answer when asked. Hell yeah she has the right to defend herself. I agree.
