A six-car Rohr train passes through Wheaton station without stopping while out of service. Notice the one headlight out on the lead car, and the solid blue light lit on the side of the last pair.

It's not the money train. I can GUARANTEE you that much. Actually, I'm guessing, based on the blue light (indicating a problem), that the train was taken out of service because it's going to Brentwood for some kind of repair.

That's a ROHR train whizzing through Wheaton on the Red Line. You know this train is out of service, probably a non revenue, in other words, the money train.

Is it a Glenmont or a Shady Grove?
Joey83812 10 months ago
@Joey83812 Out of service, so probably going to Brentwood Yard. Traveling in the direction of Shady Grove.

will 8000-8004 be removed to
Alfonzia18 1 year ago
@Alfonzia18 I'm going to say likely so. Eventually, you realize, those cars would not be able to run with anything else in the fleet due to changes in car compatibility, since everything going forward as a newbuild or rehab will likely be made 7000-compatible. Plus those cars will be nearing 40 years, and if they're the only ones with Rohr equipment once all the other Rohrs are gone, maintaining them will become cost-prohibitive.

The money train is a very dirty and dingy train, usually four cars in my recollection.
