First Ever Ophthalmology Conference Between Israeli and Palestinian Medical Professionals

Last week, one hundred Israeli and Palestinian doctors met at the Peres Peace Center in Jaffa for an ophthalmology convention, the first ever joint medical conference on such a scale.
The event, organised by Lirot (the Israeli Research Association for Eye Health and Blindness Prevention) aimed to develop research opportunities and nurture Israeli and Palestinian relations between medical professionals. The conference was facilitated by the Civil Administration, and Dalia Bassa, the Head of the Civil Administration Health Department, was invited to participate.
Dalia Bassa: "Health cooperation and coordination between the two sides is extremely important...Health professionals need this sort of forum to keep abreast on new discoveries and ideas".

If Israelis think that this kind of help will make the Arabs fill grateful, than you are a bunch of fools. If anything, they will be even more jealous of your accomplishments, will resent the fact that they need your help and will want to kill you even more.

This is a good video. It shows two people who should completely hate each other work together to help someone, and share the knowledge to help even more people.
They don't fight over which way to fix the eye is correct, they work together and find the most efficient method together, and nothing is stopping them from being friends.
I am no doctor, but doctors have one goal: To help people. There is no right way to help people. There are only the thoughts and actions that drive people together.
