This is the second Poem A Day that almost wasn't. Hurried haiku are generally sloppy, and this one is no exception. Still, I hope you enjoy it.

Split open my skull,
Search each vacant cavity,
And find the matter.

The new night settles,
And the sleeping child cries,
Watching parents die.

As always, comments, subscriptions, ratings, and sharing with friends are both welcome and encouraged.

Both poems written on July 19th, 2008
