@MrColeycole22 Whether you like it or not, the whole genre of C&W music is based off Scottish and English folk music. It doesn´t mean that C&W singers all sit around listening to that music.

And Regina Spektor being born in Russia will have influenced her style in music a bit, because she grew up listening to Russian music. And I´m pretty sure her family brought some of that music with them to America.
