The tenor heard here is from the young artists program at SFO and he was simply splendid. I saw this production live.

@TheEdobasso I saw this production live, and yes there was a wobble in his voice, but it tended to lessen as the performance went on...perhaps he wasn't warmed up. Ramey's acting, though made his preformance positively marvelous. He really captured the character in every way.

Hear, hear. I couldn't but compare this production with the recent Bolshoi ones. And the result was not in the Bolshoi's favor.

The production is much better than many productions in contemporary Russia itself. How good, that even now exist theatres that make normal beautyful productions.
