  • Not from the first. I have that one, and there's no room for any extra material in it with the commercials.

  • Ahhh....what america used to be.

  • Excellent singing group! Loved this. The swinging vocal group style of the 40's and 50's is a lost art. I assume these are the same Skylarks who sang with Harry James around 1950.

  • This has the rendition of Lucy Ricardo singing in one of her "I Love Lucy" episodes "I am the Queen of the Gypsies". Lucy got out-sung by the other singers and looked just as stunned as George Burns when trying to sing the lyrics. YouTube has the video. Type "Lucy Queen of Gypsies" in the search engine to see the comparison.

  • I do believe for those who've ever wondered, these are the back up singers to Henry Mancini's Moonriver, Charade, Days of Wine and Roses as well as Andy Williams

first album hit Moonriver. Somebody prove me wrong.

  • which one is Gilda Maiken?

  • This sounds so much like the old Chevrolet commercials "See the USA in Your Chevrolet" the guys who wrote that jingle must have heard this. "Save your sorrows—for tomorrow—the sun will shine and take the clouds away—you can drive a brand new Chevrolet…" I thought that's what they said first time I heard this, LOL.

  • pointy boobies i must say

  • This IS from the first episode, 'Houghs', because there were no "official" Carnation commercials in the episodes (other than Bill Goodwin's "integrated bit" in the middle during his monologue about landing the plane, and his mention of Carnation being their sponsor near the end)...

  • From the very first "BURNS AND ALLEN" TV show on October 12, 1950. During the first few telecasts, there would be an interlude where a vocal group or dance team would perform (with George slightly butting in), but this was phased out by December of '50.
