  • We don't have censor in Sweden because it is restrictions on freedom of expression. Constitutions are important to us in Sweden. I do not understand how "the world's best country" can ignore the Constitution as much as America does

  • I've been wanting to see this for a long time. Thanks. Very worthwhile documentary.

  • That was fucking brilliant. Cheers!

  • @CylindricalWhistle We understand each other :)

  • @DreiZ40 NOMINALLY it's not a censorship system. The explicit goal is not censorship, even if censorship does occur (which is, of course bad). However, this is entirely not a government sponsored program.

  • @ilightbite US being "the world's best country" is the world's greatest myth

  • @CylindricalWhistle "The nominal goal is not censorship in and of itself, however, and the gov't does not force it." In a perfect world maybe, too bad.

  • @ilightbite Technically, the MPAA system is not a censorship system. It's not supposed ('supposed' being the key word, I suppose) to tell you what you can or can not film. It's there to give warning as to the content. It's true that there are tons of things wrong with the rating system. Getting an NC-17 is basically the end for a movie's success, and sometimes directors cut a lot to get a PG-13.

The nominal goal is not censorship in and of itself, however, and the gov't does not force it.

  • @yattabyeq Thanks so much for uploading.

  • dat twist ending

  • @pinkytm1 Yes, now I get it.

  • @kaduisaui it could been a cool trick the film maker used. The MPAA keeps them secret. Which gave the film maker freedom to use an actor here.

  • Do film makers consider the ultimate power that companies like Blockbuster or netflix has over their products? When they make a movie they know that Blockbuster will not put certain types of films on their shelves so they have to keep it clean or get zero dvd rentals. So much for art!

  • So the rating system guarantees that all the films ever made will be so vanilla that the maximum ticket sales and dvd rentals can be achieved?

  • The anonymous dumb ass would be easily identified by anybody who knew him.

  • This was an excellent documentary, found myself cheering the work of the investigators and the film maker many times, a most excellent film...I give it 5 stars! (= (and remember, THESE are some of the power-players behind the current proposed SOPA and PIPA legislations in the house of representatives!) Censorship at it's very worst...welcome to the U.S.S.A.!

  • Fantastic!!!

  • That was a very good, very revealing film. Thanks so much for putting it on youtube and thanks to the people who helped produce it.

  • "WE'RE HERE! we're just looking at the rules." Hahah. forget them eh?

  • 6:15 Did he say Pawlenty?

  • How do you not work on president ? The supreme court does.

  • it feels worse than communism!! - 'WE DO NOT WANT TO MAKE IT TOTALLY FREE' great!! where's the freedom of speech?

  • it feels worse than communism!!

  • I have to say, the MPAA head members are complete douchebags, judging from this documentary. As an inspired filmmaker myself, I would hate going through the process of getting a rating only for it to be rated NC-17 and to go through a long approval stage.

  • Wow, this is like the fake legal system we have (that has gutted juries with "voir dire", licensing of lawyers, and wrongful judicial instruction after the bad SCOTUS decision in "Sparf and Hansen v USA") without even the openness or logic of precedent! You can't in any way mention other scenes? How is that an appeal?! It's a frigging return to the star chamber! Where's John Lilburne "Freeborn John" when you need him?

    VOTE LIBERTARIAN!
