Some Things Are Meant To Be

duet for final choir concert last year. My friend and I singing a duet from "Little Women" The song is between Jo and Beth (who are sisters) when beth is dying.

Please Keep in mind that we had a week to learn and prepare this song. We hadn't even heard it until we listened to it before purchasing it. We needed it for the solo auditions for the concert, and we needed a female duet. Unfortunately, there aren't many other than most of Wicked, which is really over done. (they had to be musical theatre)

The acoustics were kind of weird in the auditorium; everyone sounded flat. I was trying to compensate, but I think over compensated...oh well.

@abcdef12345678910ish ...and for the record, there are many female duets that fall in the musical theatre category. Obviously, like most of your generation, your expertise in musical theatre in confined to Wicked (which is why it is "really over done").

@abcdef12345678910ish Girl in the print dress- You overacted everything. Plus, you kept looking out into the audience with a completely blank expression or sometimes a big goofy smile. The song became rather comical when it’s supposed to be a tragic part of the show.

So overall, this was alright for only a week of preparation but you both have many ways to improve.
