Started the day at a clients house, then back at the gallery I got back to work on BRONC STOMPIN Cowboys, in most cases in the 1800s, didn't even own their own horses. They had to rope his ride from a remuda, and then he'd have to tame the dang horse before he could do his days work. There were horses here in pre-historic times in the U.S.. Horses returned to the Americas with the Conquistadors, beginning with Columbus, who imported horses from Spain to the West Indies on his second voyage in 1493. Domesticated horses came to the mainland with the arrival of Cortés in 1519. Remuda; in the Southwest, a herd of extra saddle horses kept, as remounts, on ranches and on cattle drives
