January Jam (Original) - Baritone Ukulele

An original instrumental played on a Pono solid mohogany baritone ukulele with an internal schatten dualie pickup. Tried to play with my thumb, but the audio quality didn't come out well. Actually the pick has a better tone.

Hi, I'm also interested in the Dualie pickup. Do you have both the inside and outside version, do they sound very different, and which one sounds better?

@rednebb I have the inside and outside version. I think they sound pretty much the same. The outside version is more useful if you have several ukes to amplify, but is more cumberson. It's nice to be able to plug in and play.

Hey buddy, I'm looking into getting the Dualie pickup for external use. I was wondering what you think of the performance of the pickup? I noticed you use an internal pickup. Did your uke come with the pickup or did you have to install it yourself?

I like the Dualie pickup. I've tried the K&K Big Shot, but think the Dualie sounds better. I had to install the pickup. I also have a stick on version which works well.

Your playing is great and the ukulele sounds amazing. I was wondering a couple of things. What are you playing that through? An amp or pa? Are you plugged straight in or did you run it through a preamp or di first? I'm seriously considering buying this pickup. Have you ever played one in a ukulele with a laminated top?
