well, if you want on-board scheduling, get the 560.

its funny when it goes on the box and sucks up sum instructions

These things should have a "dirt grid" or a surface they need to clean programmed by the user.
Triangulation by 3 sensors could provide the hoover's position in the dirt grid. This would also reuire an obstacle memory so it doesn't hit the same thing over and over.

You're about one goofy SOB!.. What's with that stupid laugh and the idiotic sound effects?... I'm surprised you even have enough intelligence to find the on/off switch! You need to stick to playing with your crayons and GI Joe!

Bahaha, it was funny how you were teasing the Roomba by making it go on cardboard. Are they worth it?

not really. It picks up larger loose things, but it can't replace a regular vacuum cleaner. I came home from work and found it stuck under things several times too.

You should let it charge itself first for up to 16 hours before cleaning. By using it immediately out of the box you decrease it's battery life significantly.

*Snorkk* A significant decrease in battery life would be most disconcerting!

I really want one of these! It looks great. I see it gets on your area rug pretty well, which is one of the things I was worrying about before getting one. Can't decide between the 560 and 530 though!

it has no problem with bumps between carpet / hard floor and the area rugs. I really like it.
