This is a video from me, DarkspinesSonic A.K.A Da1AndOnlySonic, showing some tricks and glitches glitches on the Skate 3 Demo for the ps3. With the release of Skate 3 being tomorrow (with respect to the upload date of this video), I figured now would be a good time to release the glitches and tricks I have found before the full game hits the shelves. Throughout the video, fade transitions imply a continuation of a glitch or trick, while flip transitions imply a new glitch or trick. There are a total of 10 glitches/tricks throughout the video...
1. Throw your skateboard on the water, then attempt to jump on it. During the animation of jumping onto your board, you are considered to be on it, and you're not allowed to skate on water. Therefore, you are flung in the air instead of landing on your skateboard.
2. Perform a drop in, then press the triangle button (Y button for 360) just before the skater would drop in. Use the video for a visual of when it should be pressed.
3. Basically, all you have to do is jump into the camera man. Depending on how he reacts, and how your body is tweaked, he might catch you, shake you, etc.
4. Ramp catapulting, simply set up a Medium Docked Quarterpipe upside-down, stand on the slanted underside, and up-right the object.
5. Simply throw away your board, then call it back, jump, and hold a body tweak. You can also call your skateboard back after jumping instead of before, the important thing is tweaking -after- calling it back.
6. Set a respawn marker, then place a shopping cart on its side and where you set your respawn marker. Be sure to add the cart to your session marker afterward, there's no telling where it might fly. :P
7. This will probably work in other locations, but a good location for this ramp glitch to work is seen in the video (which is where the skate school is). Place an upside-down ramp where seen in the video. The ramp should be partly off the ground for the best results. You'll know when you have a good position, as the ramp will fling up-right when you attempt to grab it (instead of grabbing it then pressing up).
8. Just like in the previous Skate games, there are some spots that you are not allowed to stand/skate on without being instantaneously respawned (and the same goes for objects). If I recall correctly, this trick can also be used in Skate 2. As long as you stay on the ramp -and- are holding it, the ramp won't disappear.
9. While the screen turns fuzzy and alerts you that you are leaving the demo area, normally you can't pause the game. However, if you go into object placement mode, you are allowed to pause the game during that period of time. This allows a graphical glitch to occur in the game, which can be seen if you go to the tricks guide, as well as shortly after teleporting to a new area.
10. Although it can't really be seen what was done, it can be heard. The game was paused just before the loading screen popped up, where I then navigated to the skate school mission. Basically, the first thing you do is set a marker. Then, go far enough away from the marker so that when you respawn the loading screen will come up. Then, as you are attempting to respawn, press start just before the respawn would take place. If you did it correctly, the game will be paused while the loading screen is up, and you are able to navigate through the pause menu during that time.
That covers all the glitches/tricks in the video. Enjoy!^_^
