1.Install Quick Time Player
2.Enjoy the variaty of export options in File>Export SUCH AS AVI!!!

why cant I choose quick time movie?And if i rend it by defaul it lagging afterwards

When I click render que the options dont show under "Comp 1" is this because I have the portable version?

When I render a clip and when I watch in QuickTime it's just a White box with no sound :| any help ?

The rendered video is all jumpy and it's 600mb for a 10 second clip!!!
How am I supposed to upload that to youtube?!

when i render in h.264 or mp4 from after effects and try to upload to youtube - youtube gives me an error - why doesn't that work? the file size is not too big for youtube -

k ive done this before but i dont remeber. i did all your steps and it was a .mov, but then with another film i somehow made it an avi afterwards. how would i do that since pinnacle studio 12 dosent work with .mov

Sorry, I don't understand the reference to Pinnacle Studio. To make the output from AE in to AVI, just select the options in the render queue window and change it to Windows Video

i personally think the quicktime has better quality. but i know i somehow got the .mov to .avi, is that possible?

Yes you can export from AE as an avi

ok i did that, but the file isnt wokring, do you think its probably just my computer or is something wrong?

I need to see screenshots or a screen recording of what you are doing to help you out. Can you upload a screen recording of what you are doing so I can see all the settings. You can make it a private video on your channel if you wish and then send me the link and make me an authorised access user to it
