@GremlinWood don't think I am just go back and read for yourself and I never said it was a conspiracy. go to st-owner.com and look up darkside and see how many riders are using car tires.hell just do a word search here on you tube for motorcycle darksiders and see how many vids there are for it.thousands of goldwing riders do it yamaha fjr 1300's even bmw guys. Again my problem with your first statement is that you imply that your correct no matter how much thought or research I did

@bayoubiker71 now you are just being pedantic over the semantics of sentance construction. Millions of dollars/pounds go into tyre research and developement for cars and bikes, thats why they are different, it is not a conspiracy on the part of the manufacturers you know.

@GremlinWood in the case of being in different countries and the laws being different then you really should have worded your very first comment differently. Like the way you said it in your comment before last ...."that this COULD void your insurance" and not like it will no matter what. Ride safe .

@bayoubiker71 Nope they were off the shelf Microns, the difference here is, you're in the US, here in the UK we have massive restrictions on what you can and cannot do to vehicles, if you do not inform most insurance companies of the changes you have made, insurance is invalidated.

@GremlinWood a long time riding buddy of mine rides an st with a car tire. He is an insurance salesman and also the person who sold me my insurance. Did you design those aftermarket pipes ???

@GremlinWood no attitude here just sayin you could put your first comment as "you sure this doesn't void your insurance?" the way you said it would put anybody on the defensive. I'm way over 21, educated , and have been riding for 18 years. I didn't make a decision to do this with out checking into first. by the way you made that first statement tells me that you believe you are correct and that I'm wrong and nothing will ever convince you otherwise.

@bayoubiker71 I fitted after market exhausts to my bike and after being knocked off by a van driver they refused to pay, reason, fitting non standard parts. Car tyres are pretty non standard !
