'All you need is a Puzzle' is a poetic observation of one man's struggle to connect with the woman he loves.

My debut short film, shot on Super 8 while studying at the Victorian College of The Arts (Melbourne, Australia).

  • The degraded quality of the super 8 is well complemented by the stylized, high contrast lighting. I detect a note of Bergman influence, especially in the composition of your closeups. The editing is wonderfully expressionistic. Very nice.

  • Man, that is a Great movie.. very good job!

  • First off, you're a bastard. Second off, that last statement was false (the bastard one.) Brilliant man, regardless of the past, this is where I'm at with it. Congratulations on a dreamlike, incredibly well thought out and executed performance (you created a masterful piece, and you should be proud of that.) The tender and aged qualities of 8mm lend itself so well to the stylization of shots and the composition of each frame.

  • What a way to bring back 8mm! Who would have thought it would be good for anything other than snuff?

The imagery had so much character and considering the limitations of the medium, some of the shots were outstanding - especially CUs on the bike bell!

A sumptuous tapas dish of a film.

  • this is by far the best short film ive ever seen.. i especialy like the way the walls where constructed in the dinning shots. even the smoothness of the moving shots, you must of had some good peeps in your crew.
