"Ever been stung by a dead bee?" From a script by William Faulner for Howard Hawks' adaptation of Hemingway's To Have and Have Not, except, the story goes, Walter Brennen improvised the line to fill some time--Hawks used him for that a lot according to various books. Bogart uses the line later. Godard is a kind of jackdaw.
