Not one of my better video's, but I wanted to get it in anyway. If you use it right it can give a nice "Real Camera" or "Tilt Shift" effect to your photos and other projects. A simple effect for adding a 3D like depth to photographs and signatures' field of range (distance). I was going to try to get in some examples that Ive done using this effect but the ten minute time limit wouldnt allow it.

  • Where can I click to get the polygonal lasso tool please?

  • @asderso Most of the tools in the PS tool palete have more than one tool in them......if you float your mouse over them you will see the extra tools. the polygonal lasso is in the second row, on the left side.

    Hope this helped.

  • pokernod friend I got it, I'm a beginner in Photoshop and don't have patience, can I extrude a jpeg and make it 3d in Photoshop? What softs allow me to create planes, angles, all in motion using a simple jpeg pic, please?

  • @asderso Asderso friend, No. You cant make a jpeg 3D in any way in Photoshop, but I Understand what you want to do.... what your going to want to get in to is a program called Autodesk Inventor. No program will do what you want quickly or easily, but Autodesk Inventor is the closest thing to that. Find it. Buy it. Enjoy it. (or just Google it and wish you had it.) Its one of my favorite programs that I dont have time to learn. But maybe one day.

  • @aakashm1 Yep.

  • You can now on Photoshop CS5.. which I have.

  • this is basically creating "tilt shift".

  • Google "Lensbaby" for a hardware method of shooting shift-tilt. it's really quite amazing.

  • Thank you, friend.

  • Oh yes, it helped - thank you friend!!

  • Thank you, all I need is a 3d look realized of any jpeg.

  • @asderso If you mean a tut for doing it for real (with a camera) it will take a special lens, start in Wikipedia for an explanation and go from there. If you mean another tutorial for PhotoShop, Im probably the first, I try to do tuts that other people havent done before. But Im sure there will be more soon.
