Alfa GTV with non originale 2L motor

First startup of GTV with newly rebuilt, high performance motor. Something doesn't sound right. Any ideas?

Timing? If this is the first startup... the static timing should be set before running it, and then once it's running it should be immediately checked with a timing light. I didn't see anyone do that in the video.
