Episode: Malice for Quake
Level: The Incinerator Plant
Secrets: One
Difficulty: Hard

Much better! At least the level exit works and the Secret is in someway accessible compared to that OTHER one that I shall no longer mention. But all of this came at a cost. Since I had to resort to using the console to skip to this level, you'll notice my weapon pool has been reduced back to its wimpy defaults. Thus, it leaves me with no other choice but to fight with the standard Pistol and Uzi the majority of the time. Still, as I've said on MANY other occasions, I do like a good challenge!

Level exit in working order? Check!
Secret located in a SECRET but otherwise reachable location? Check!
A plethora of enemies to fight against? Erm, yeah... sort of.

As levels go, this is far and away a lot better than that Nuclear Plant abomination. But, it's another one of those sub-standard levels that can be finished in five minutes (if you're quick or an able speedrunner) and it's not going to be one that lasts long in the memory. It's a shame since, for once, the Takahiro Raiders refrain from glitching out and you can actually see their top halves when fighting them. Alright, so that's a small positive, but I'm trying my best here!

Erm, yeah... Time to cut the cord on this one. There's nothing left to say.

Secret: 2:25 - 2:45. Using the Parachute is mandatory if you want to reach this one.

  • DOSBox this time around?

  • @torm223300 Do you know what? It's been so long since I did this playthrough, I honestly can't remember if I switched from the Steam version to DOSBox after having a torrid time with Nuclear Plant.

I may have switched to playing the game through DOSBox after Nuclear Plant but memory fails me.

  • The graphic quality is better; I guess is that HUD thingy (no, I know little about videogames).

Also, can Steam help you about that error in the previous level?

  • @Votapardo Not really. It may have done but if it did, I'd have no idea what to look for or how to go about fixing it.

At the end of the day, after all the strife that Nuclear Plant had given me, I decided to cast the level aside and never look upon it again. EVER!
