I was driving my fathers SUV on the highway on my way to the windy city for a party. We, well I was currently diving in a tunnel thats what feels like a few miles long. Next to me is Leah, my girlfriend. and in the back seats are Haylee, Jake, and Tony. Tony was in the seat behind Leah, Jake behind me, and Haylee in the middle of them both. i was so concentrated on the road i jumped when i heard Haylees voice yelling "Hey Leah can you change the radio station!?"
"why cant nick do it?" she replied to his question with another question. So I decided to say something back in reply "because I'm driving, and you dont want me to crash now do you?" I spoje to soon. I heard Leah screaming "Nick! Watch out!" i turned my head to see what she was talking about. Haylee looked over to see what happend and she screamed aswell.
I tried to turn the car away from a massive semi-truck that had stopped because of a crah up ahead. When i turned the car didnt move the way i wanted it to. It slid instead in different directions as I tried to keep it in one straight line, but its really hard when theres hundreds of other cars trying to keep away from the accident and keep from crashing as well. But nothing happened as any of us wanted to happen.
The truck I was driving crashed into another semi-truck.
It was a big crash. Tony hit the front of Leahs seat so hard it almost knocked him out. Haylees seat belt broke and she flew onto the hood of the car, screaming nonstop. Jake never had his seatbelt on and the window open and his hand out it, lucky him hardly had a scratch, or is it lucky? As for Leah and I she flew to the other side of the street with the sound of screeching cars trying not to hit her and I, I got saved by the air bag, then everything went black.
After what felt like a few hours I slowly woke up only to realize i was still on the site of the crash. "Leah?" i mumbled to my self. Thats the first thing I thought of. "Leah!" i looked to my right only to see glass and dirt. "LEAH!" still no response. All I heard was crying and screaming, along with feeling many flames from a huge fire. I quickly got out of the car, slowly remembering what happened. I saw Haylee fly to the hood. Haylee. I forgot about her. I ran the hood of the S.U.V. only to see shes not there. Jake. Jake I went to the back of the driver seat, but he wasnt there either. Tony? Tony was behind Leah. I opened the door to reach in and see if Tony was there. It was so hard with all of the smoke. Yes! Tony was there, I got completely in the car and shook him abit. "Tony, Tony wake up" He moved just abit. "Tony! Wake up!" Tony slowly opened his eyes "N--Nick? What happened?" he said in way that sounded like he was tired yet in pain. "We were just in a really big crash. Get up I need your help to find Le--" He cut me off "A crash! Its so hard to see. help me out. We need to find Haylee." He kept coughing as he was talking. I unbuckled his seat belt so he can get out.
I saw him open his door as soon as he was abel to move, looked down then stopped. I looked over to see what he was looking at, the was fire! Everywhere! "Tony come through this side." I slid across and out back onto the street. The tunnel was so dark the only thing lighting it up was the fire. All of the power went off. I still heard crying screams and the sound of car radios that were still on. I heard the sound of Tonys feet landing on the ground as he jumped out of the truck. I ran over to a car that had a few screams coming from it and tried to open the door. There was a lady crying from inside the little white '93 shadow. "Please! p-p--please help me!" she cried out. The door just wouldnt open. So i had no choice but to try and break the window open "watch out!" I yelled out not sure if she could hear me. I guess she could because she covered her self. I used my elbow to break it open, then I opened the door from the inside. "Are you ok? Is there anyone else in here?
