Project NeXT Generation Parking presents a self parking car that can distinguish between two posibilities
of parking: back parking and lateral parking. The robot we used is a Lego Mindstorms NXT and the most important
element is the sonar sensor which we used for measuring distances.
The project had two stages: the car robot construction and the implementation of the software. For us, the first
stage was the most challanging because we needed a stable car that can go straight ahead without changing it's
direction and this wasn't possible with a lego robot (because of the plastic lego pieces). But with the help of the
sonar sensor we managed to write a program that get's our robot parked without bumping walls
If today we can park a car with only a button click ... imagine what's comming next!
