A Lego technic F1 racecar wth powerfunctions. Remote driving, steering and shifting between two gears! Two motors to drive the rear wheels through a 2-gear-transmission, controlled by the remote controller. The steering mechanism is based on a return-to-centre principle that allows the steeringmotor to keep on turning while the wheels are in a maximum steering position. The transmission is sprayed with an anti-friction-oil, to make sure it spins smouth.

  • Yea, how did you make the steering return to center?

  • @SolarAlliance You can see exactly the same mechanism in my video 'Lego technic racecar' at 1.20

  • It wouldn't stall if u used the RC unit, or 2 battery boxes. Great work tho. Instructions plz

  • @Mr88high

Thanks. The problem with two batteryboxes, it's too heavy. F1 cars are supposed to be light ;) But I will try it, maybe it works better.

  • @beefee102 Do you have a legovehicle that goes 75 mph!!!!! Wow, I want to see!

  • @Sparkydude20

By using a gearbox. I had troubles with the rc buggy engines. When I gear them up to high (for greater high speed) they tend to stall and they didn't work anymore for a few seconds. To prevent this I had to use a gearbox, so the engines would have an easy job to get the car moving (the first push to get the car from a standing still into moving takes a lot of momentum) the high gear makes sure the car reaches top speed. It's that simple :-)

  • @MrTECHNICOR I got two of them in sets: 8287 and 8421. If you can't find those sets second hand on the internet, you have to try to find a website where you can buy seperate lego parts.

  • @hisgen01 where did you get those rc buggy motors i really do want those motors please write.
