Bookguy.. :) I really believed it was for the elderly. :) Still love the video* Wish I could find Tai Chi down here.

again, i'd only heard that.. so i'm never really sure on the subject.. but it is interesting to know.

It's funny how many stories can be applied to why taichi was made. I'd heard it was made as a dance form, so the civilians could prepare for war, while not looking as though they were learning martial art. This can be applied to the idea that woman weren't allowed to learn martial arts back in the day.. though nowadays there's more woman who are probably doing it moreso than men. That i'm actually glad for though. Woman need to be strong~! for themselves.

the blue one is GREAT!!!

@tkdgirl49 it was designed by a chinese general in the 13th century to train his soldiers, not the elderly HAHAHAHA. That cracked me up tho :P

It'd be nice if it didn't have this tacky music added on. You can always mute a video and listen to your own music, but as a viewer, one cannot get back the original audio once it has been taken away.

Tai Chi is so beautiful , in both its demonstration and in its deadly combact form. Cammandochicken , your mistaken. Tai Chi was made specifically for the elderly in combat..... as time went on, it became more beautiful and that much more deadly. Practicing Tai Chi keeps you younger, healthier and strong.

Actually, it was designed to get a bunch of fat monks into shape. It was later applied to combat.
LOL. commandochicken you're talking about the yi jin jing. tai chi is made for war. wow don't mislead people please.
