The financial crisis was 100% due to the massive deregulation that turned the whole sector into a financial "wild west". Remember Predatory loans? People were conned into taking those loans. That's what regulation is there to prevent! So anyway who was responsible for removing all the regulations on the banks. Pelosi??? WTF get educated dimwit, deregulation is a core philosophy of the Republicans. They brought it in, cashed in on it, fucked off with the money and left the whole country in shit.

And now as if the people's suffering weren't enough. The new government wants to harm the people even more by issuing redundant taxes such as the Cap and Trade tax. These are simply things that are not needed, if they do not create jobs in a time of job shortage, how is this a tax wisely implemented or money well spent?

I never said the banks weren't to blame. I was saying that the reason all of this shit happened is because of Reid and Pelosi.
If it wasnt for them, the banks wouldn't have been allowed to lower their standards. But should we really put all of the blame on the banks or the government? No, a good part of the blame should still be put on the people who also should have realized that the loans they were recieving were simply too large.

No, you can judge Bush's failure of a Presidency now.
1) If there is peace in Iraq 10 years from now, it will NOT be because of George Bush. Obama inherited the Iraq war, meaning if 10 years from now their is peace in Iraq it will be because of nothing Bush did. That's like saying Jimmy Carter was the reason Communism collapsed.
Also, Bushes failures are far more than the Iraq preemptive invasion.

So the banks have no blame is giving out such ludicrous loans? Loaning out large sums of money to people for giant homes that they could never hope to afford?
I thought it was the right who were the big fans of deregulation, but when democrats do it, it is bad and everything is their fault?
Also, Reid and Pelosi were spineless durring the whole 8 years Bush was in office, they took it up the rear the whole time and go nothing done for liberal causes, but now everything bad is their fault?
-
I'm sorry to burst your bubble sir, but Bush and trickle-down economics is not the reason for this country's ecnomic crisis. The reason for the crisis is that liberal congressmen such as Pelosi and Reid insisted on lowering the standards for housing. People obtained loans they couldn't afford, and now they're going bankrupt and can't put surplus money back into the economy because there is no surplus money.

There is no way that u could truly say that bush was a failure because things in Iraq haven't played out yet and if there is peace in Iraq ten years from now people might have thought wrong. Im not saying I like bush but don't judge his decisions as president just yet.

This is sad. YES, Rush and Hannity are wrong, but NO George Bush is not a conservative. He is operating under the guise of conservatism, but has actually maintained a fairly liberal voting record, and operates using fairly liberal principles. I might also add that the "conservatism" that the Republican Party represents is not true conservatism at all. For a truer definition of that, look to Ron Paul or Bob Barr. Don't vote change for the sake of change, vote change because you understand it.
Yes, because conservatism (read:evangelism) has done so well for us in the last eight years.
And speaking as someone who knows a few Marxists, liberals aren't communists. Go reacquaint yourself with a dictionary.
