DOWNHILL WINS FOR ME!

cross country is to slow for me.
it throws me off.
i cant turn.
i cant stop,
they are uncontrollable,
they are uncomfortable,
they take to much work

i like speed
always moving
turning,
stopping,
not crashing,
skiing confidantly,
skiing safely,

plus i fall

  • Try using a decent ski like a Fischer Boundless (now called Escort 98, I believe) and some decent boots like Fischer BCX 875. It is otherwise known as lightweight Telemark gear. You can tour, and you can turn.

Forget the wimps who are into grooming and XC tour centers. The beauty of Light Tele is that you can tour, and you can turn, and you can do it anywhere there is snow.

Fischer, Rossignol ,Madshus and Asnes make most of the skis in this category.

  • Cmon, not being able to turn makes it that much more exciting. Plus its a lot cheaper.

  • blare witch moment? low budget video could make you a lot of money if you were attacked by an anonymous object and left us in suspense (like the movie). make for a better ending too, lol

  • Visit a XC facility with grooming, rent some decent gear and you'll get to do all those of the things you say you like so much.
