If you own an explorer shaped guitar and play harmonics and let them ring while striking the pointed part close to your arm you can hear the striking bring out the harmonics in weird ways. The door knocker just makes it louder I assume.

idk why all you people are like "he's desperate" and "that's not needed." Claudio is an imaginative genious. a lot of thing in music aren't "needed" but then what is music if you don't have creativity. no one else would have come up with the idea. i agree it isn't very practical, but it is wholly original and looks cool as hell

if some average joe did it, it would sound awful. besides, hes not taking point, he was doing it while travis was soloing. and turning a 7 minute song into an 18 minute song via improvish solos proves he is an artistic madman.
