As I've heard the story, Duke was "coached" by Steve Spurrier at the time ... who had already effectively "moved on" to his next coaching gig (UF?) ... Dukies say he didn't even care about the outcome of this game.
Guns up, Horns off.

All these "new" Tech fans that say "horns off" now, are much closer to Aggies than the Tech fans I went to school with. Sad that my school is slowly turning into Texas A&M-Lubbock

@chongo94 man ur an idiot. we still hate both of em..

@chongo94 sir, i'd just like to say: hell no we ain't. the hate for a&m runs high in the school, especially after last year. the horns off thing isn't very big anyhow. some of the posters might say it, but we've got our own wranglin the beevos and such that outnumber them

Great Video. I moved to Lubbock in 1989 and haven't looked back. Wreck Em Tech! I will add this video to RaiderCam * com

Yeah, James Gray. Set an all-time bowl individual rushing record that still stands, I think. Around 279 yds (?) or so.
Duke made a bowl game?!?! Must have been before my time
