Running Crysis 2 on the HIGHEST possible settings (ultra) with DX 11 and high res textures... beautiful. FPS without recording = 50 or 60 fps. FPS when fraps is on = 30 to 45

Awesome, I'm getting this card with my new build and I plan on using that resolution. Good to see it performs!

  • @TheKaruProject

Benchmarks with 2x AA enabled! @ 62 FPS, but with 16xQ it could dip down to ~35-45, while the SLi GTX 560 Ti keep a steady 60ish

But who needs 16xQ? Nothing over 720p should use AA unless their GPUs can handle it, but SLi GTX 560 Ti perform very well for the price

  • @JohnEliasOnSTEAM Ive seen a GTX 580 do 62 FPS on average.

  • @JohnEliasOnSTEAM Yea, I've heard about problems with SLI before, and seen a few too. And it also seems like a kind of confusing process :/. But the end result when it's complete will be ohhhh soo worth it :)

  • @BUTTFACEBOB545

no problem, though some people have had problems with SLi, though it's an easy problem to fix, with the bridge well placed and maybe a clean driver update, etc, if you ever do have problems. i am definitely getting 2 GTX 560 Ti

  • @JohnEliasOnSTEAM Well, thank-you for confirming that... because now I definitely will be buying another GTX 560 Ti :)

  • @BUTTFACEBOB545

Hey again. Yeah, I looked up some benchmarks, gameplay videos, etc, and a GTX560 Ti (Superclocked, which can actually be overclocked slightly more I think) in SLi definitely outperforms a GTX580 at a cost of about $50 in difference... Crysis gameplay, SLi GTX560 Ti (Superclocked) can play it at 60-80 FPS and a GTX580 at about 35-45 (Someone correct me if I'm wrong) with 16AQ turned on to the max, so that's Crysis at full graphical capabilities.

  • @JohnEliasOnSTEAM Actually no, I haven't tried that yet. But I'm really wanting to pick up the same GPU that I have (Crysis 2 Superclocked GTX 560 Ti) and do SLI with that. I've heard that it has more power than a GTX 580 and almost equivalent to a GTX 590, but I'm not so sure if that's true. Keep looking! lol I'd like to know how it'd be as well.
