Hahah, my Recruiter is a Sapper, and he was super enthusiastic when I told him I wanted to be a Combat Engineer.

Good vid, but you dont show lads breeching a mine field by hand at 2 in the morining in the pissing rain, or building a bridge in the dark with no sleep for 2 days. But Its really funny wathing lads break then laughing even more when there annoyed at you laughing at them.
I love being a sapper (British one) lol

good work, Lead the way boys.

There are soldiers who graduated Ranger School that couldn't pass the 28 day Sapper school.
-
yeah i was in the army when they converted 12B to 21B. and of course BDU to ACU

Believe it or not I actually had some Sappers at my MOS school at Camp Lejuene Combat Engineer Instruction Company doin training with Marines. They knew what they were talkin about when I chatted with some of them in the smoke pit. Either way we're all in the same fight Errr rrah! Semper Fidelis

wow...i'm getting old. i was a 12b combat engineer. i thought i was seeing things wrong...but i googled 21b...and looks like they changes the MOS. SAPPERS LEAD THE WAY.

being a 21B may sound like fun but there is a lot of hard work that u have to put in before you start to do anything close to being a engineer
-
those guys at the end runnin have no muzzle awareness. Silly pogs! seems like a fun MOS though.

@sexyjaredmosher or even infantry....
i wanna be a Sapper. but where would i go for basic?

It is somewhat of a long process and you need to get some experience in first. You will go to Fort Leonardwood, Missouri for your basic and AIT together. This is known as OSUT (One Station Unit Training) to become a 21B (Combat Engineer). I don't have all the answers, but basically be the best engineer in your unit that you can be and if any slots for Sapper school open up, you are sure to get one.

so basicly your a special forces combat engineer?
WLordnDRanch12 3 years ago
No, I am not a Special Forces Engineer or a Combat Engineer. Special Forces Engineers are on much more different paths and receive a variety of professional training. Although the jobs are extremely similar, the capabilities of a Special Forces Engineer are irreplaceable.
