This video was shot over the Skagit Valley in Washington state. We had a great time flying together and enjoying an awesome day in the Pacific Northwest.

All three pilots are members of Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 818, Skagit Regional Airport. We meet the second Saturday of every month at 10AM at KBVS. Stop by and visit if you are flying around the patch!

If you are considering flying formation and shooting video, NEVER video as the pilot unless it is hands off. Formation flying is challenging enough, do not make it impossible.

Pictures of the KR can be seen at http://sites.google.com/a/wildblue.net/goodmans/

Music is "Wherever we go" by the Newsboys. Used by permission of InPop Records.

  • @LSIFLYER Sounds like a great idea. We have flown form on Cessnas, Pipers, Cozys, Cubs, Glasiars, BD-5s, Bonanzas, a T-6 Texan, and one other KR. Getting more KR to KR time would be a lot of fun.

  • A buddy of mine did some formation flight in Cessna 152's and 172's (the video is actually on youtube somewhere) and we didn't do nearly as good of a job as you guys did and we had much easier planes to fly. I'm impressed. And I'm also a possible future builder of the KR2S aircraft.

  • Excellent video, cool planes and a beautiful place to fly.Although currently I fly a Piper, I might join you all one of these days if you are still flying :)

  • beautiful my dad built the Vm1000 and 1000c for the Glasairs

  • Man some guys just know how to party! If you ever wondered why guys would spend years of their lives locked up in the garage building an Experimental airplane this video is the answer. It doesn't get any cooler than this. A Glasair, a BD-5, and a KR-2 in an eschelon stack on a beautiful day for flying, on YouTube. Wow!
