Demo of Gibson's 1934 L-5 Historic Reissue, built in the Nashville Custom Shop. Martin SP Phosphor Bronze strings (13-56). Dunlop Tortex 0.73mm (yellow) pick. Recorded with Beyerdynamic MC930 small diaphragm condenser mics.

  • What stereo mic placement do you use with the beyerdynamic MC930 mics? Is that spaced pair? Do you use these mics with dreadnaughts too?

  • @Celticsaint777 - I use them with all my acoustics. They're awesome. The placement is roughly X-Y but with one mic pointed at the neck/body join and the other angled down just hair pointing at the lower bout south of the bridge. But this is not critical.
