Here's a fast illustration of Synergy over a few machines - I've got it running on some Mac OSX machines & a Windows box (I could have just as easily shown Linux going to, but decided this was to the point enough).
Synergy is a great tool that lets you share a single keyboard and mouse with multiple computers. You setup one machine as a "server" (the one with the keyboard and mouse) and then the others are configured to connect to the server and are sent keyboard/mouse data when appropriate.

Sure, you could probably get away with saying that.. Though when you say "couch potato" I think of both physical and mental stagnation, I can't say I'm often mentally idle while at the "command centre" :)
