easy record a silent tune,,then add it to itunes as mp3...use the trick to switch it from an mp3 to a ringtone file(theres a lot of videos about it ,bwana made one)..then just assgin that ringtone to your contact!!

The silent sound file is good idea. The idea never came across me until you said it. I made one and am now doing it that way. Works like a charm.
I have MCleaner installed on my iphone now. Its a call blocker program that gives me the option to have silent, vibrate or one small sound for those who are on my "blacklist". Was doing it that way before you gave me that idea. =)

idk if this is on the same track as you guys are going, but is there anyway to set a ringtone for a text message. im tired of the boring rings that comes standard. or the text alerts you get from cydia they are cheesy.

is there a way to just set it to vibrate regularly? like you can adjust the volume of your ring tone and an option is vibrate?

HEY PLEASE READ THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
im not sure what ur talking about, but if your looking for the silent ringtone than i know where to get it
Couldn't you just make a silent ringtone and just transfer it to the iPhone through iTunes? When it's on your phone just select that particular ringtone for the user. When the phone rings it will play a silent ringtone and also vibrate. That should work.

Yes, I've gotten a few responses with the same idea. Create a silent ringtone which will also vibrate on the iPhone. Thanks for responding.
